Contracting Page - Agency Principal View

Overview

The enhanced Agency Principal (AP) Contract view is designed to give you better visibility of agent contracts. This new layout makes it easier to triage, track progress, and support your downline agents effectively.

How It Works

To see the new contracts view, while in Agency view, navigate to Back office and click on View carrier contracts under Carrier contracts.

The layout is organized into five tabs, giving you a clear overview of contract statuses across your agency:

  • Needs Action (Default tab)

  • Pending Other Party

  • Ready to Sell

  • Inactive

  • All Contracts

Switching between these tabs allows you to focus your outreach and support where it's needed most.

Key Features

Key Fields Displayed

Each contract entry displays:

  • Agent contact information (phone number and email)

  • Contract type and level

  • Ready to Sell status for the current and next year (if enabled via feature flag)

  • Time in Status indicators (for Needs Action)

Filters

Narrow your results using filters such as:

  • Agent name

  • Contract type (New or Transfer)

  • Carrier

  • State

  • Agency

Sorting

Organize data by:

  • Agent name

  • Carrier name

  • Time in Status

  • Last sync date

Contracting Notes

When our Contracting team has an update on a specific contract, you'll see a small note icon next to the agent's name on the contracts table. This gives you visibility into what's happening with a contract without needing to chase down emails.

To view a note:

  1. Click the note icon next to an agent's name.

  2. A popover will open showing a preview of the note and the date it was Last updated.

  3. If the note is longer, click View more to open the full note in a modal.

💡 Notes are read-only and only appear on contracts where our Contracting team has written something specific. If a contract doesn't have a note icon, there's nothing new to report at this time.

What you may find in a note:

  • Status updates on what's holding the contract up

  • Information Spark is waiting on from the carrier

  • Action items that may need follow-up

Note content varies by contract. Always read the full note for specifics.

Exports & Reporting

Export contract data to CSV, including agent and contract details. You can also continue using any saved reports from the previous view.
