AEP 2027 Contracting Prep: Transferring Your Contract

Updated today

If your contract is currently under a different top-of-hierarchy and you want to move it to Spark for AEP 2027, you must complete your transfer before the carrier deadlines below.

To begin, submit a request through the Contracting Request Form on the Spark platform.

Fastest vs. Fallback: How to Transfer Your Contract

Transfer With a Release (Fastest Option)

  • Request a release from your current upline

  • Upload it when submitting your Carrier Contracting Request via the Spark platform

  • If approved, your transfer can be processed immediately (no waiting period)

Best option if you are close to deadlines or want to avoid delays

Without a Release (Fallback Option)

  • Submit your Contracting Request in Spark

  • The carrier will place you into a 60–90 day waiting period

  • Your transfer will be complete after the waiting period ends

No Release - no problem!

You will still always start with the Spark Contracting Request → noting your status will either be Transfer, with Release (upload release) or Transfer, no release → Spark will still get the contracting process started right away!

Spark highly encourages you to start early — missing deadlines may prevent you from transferring for AEP!

Carrier-Specific Option (When Required)

Some carriers require a transfer request step within portal system:

  • HealthSpring, Molina → EvolveNXT Agent Portal

  • Wellcare → Centene Workbench

  • Devoted → A message within the Devoted Agent Portal

  • Scan → Agent Portal workflows or DocuSign

Pro Tip

Even if you don’t have a release yet:

Submit your request anyway to jump-start your transfer window.

You can always upload a release later — but you cannot retroactively start a waiting period.
