What is AHIP?
AHIP (America's Health Insurance Plans) is a national trade association that offers an annual Medicare certification required for agents who sell Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. The certification consists of an online training course and exam covering Medicare basics, enrollment rules, and CMS marketing guidelines. Most major carriers require agents to pass AHIP before completing their carrier-specific training each year.

What to Expect
Format: Two courses (Medicare + Fraud, Waste & Abuse), followed by a 50-question exam
Passing score: 90% or higher
Time limit: 2 hours
Attempts: 3 — if you don't pass in 3 tries, you'll need to repurchase
CE Credits: Available in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico
