RTS (Ready to Sell) 2026 & 2027

See your Ready to Sell status for both the 2026 and 2027 plan years, and understand what affects when your 2027 status appears.

Overview

Spark's platform now displays both 2026 and 2027 RTS (Ready to Sell) status for Agents and Agency Principals. As carriers report their 2027 certification and contracting data, your Ready to Sell status will update to reflect it.

Your RTS status reflects each plan year separately. Existing agents may see both 2026 and 2027 status together, while new agents' status will depend on when they completed contracting and certification.

💡 Check out our Carrier Update Schedule to find out when we last refreshed ready-to-sell data from our carriers!

Note: Carriers are reporting 2027 data on their own timelines, so it's normal to see some carriers update before others. We'll continue to update this article and notify agents as more carriers report in.

Finding Your RTS Status

You can check your RTS status in three places:

  1. Back Office → Carrier Contracts. This page now shows separate counts for RTS 2026 and RTS 2027 contracts.

  2. Contract status page. You'll see a green "Ready to Sell" bar for each year you're eligible. If a contract is Ready to Sell for both years, it'll show under Ready to Sell 2027, with both years indicated on the card.

  3. Agency View → Carrier Contracts (Agency Principals). This page now has separate columns for 2026 Status and 2027 Status.

To check your current status:

  1. Log in to Spark.

  2. Navigate to Back Office and select View carrier contracts.

  3. Locate the Ready to Sell column for the year you're checking. If you're marked RTS, the carrier will show with a green checkmark.

Possible Reasons Your 2027 RTS Status Isn't Showing

There are a few reasons your 2027 RTS status might not be visible yet:

  • The carrier hasn't sent their 2027 data yet. This is the most common reason, and it's not something you need to act on. If you're still showing RTS 2026 only, your 2026 status remains valid and you can continue selling under it. You don't need to complete any additional certifications just because 2027 hasn't appeared yet, unless your certification status is genuinely incomplete (see below). Check the Carrier Update Schedule to see when that carrier's data was last refreshed and when the next update is expected.

  • Your certification or contract is still pending approval. Check your certification and contracting status to confirm these are complete. If a carrier needs your 2027 certifications specifically, you'll see a Complete 2027 certifications prompt on that contract.

  • Reporting delays. Allow at least 7 days after a carrier confirms your RTS before escalating. Delays of 1–2 weeks are common depending on the carrier's reporting frequency.

Spark will update your status once we receive confirmation from the carrier.

Inaccurate RTS Status

Please verify that your contracting and certification requirements are fully complete. If you believe your RTS status is inaccurate, contact your Agency Principal or reach out to Spark Support at [email protected] for help from the Contracting team.

FAQ

Why don't I see my 2027 status yet?

Your 2027 RTS status may not be visible because the carrier hasn't reported their 2027 data yet, or because a required certification or contract is still pending. Check the Carrier Update Schedule to see when each carrier's data was last refreshed, or check the Carrier Contracts page for your current status.

I don't have any certifications required for this carrier, so why does Spark say I need to complete something before I'm RTS 2027?

If a carrier hasn't reported 2027 data yet, your contract will continue showing as RTS 2026 only. This isn't a sign you're missing a certification, it just means Spark hasn't received 2027 confirmation from that carrier. No action is needed on your end.

Do I need to do anything to become RTS for 2027?

Complete your contracting and certifications. If a carrier specifically needs your 2027 certifications, you'll see a Complete 2027 certifications button on that contract in Back Office. Beyond that, your 2027 status depends on the carrier reporting their data to Spark.

How will I know once I become RTS for 2027?

Go to Back Office → View carrier contracts. Your status will be listed separately under the 2026 Status and 2027 Status columns.
