In most cases, your Ready-to-Sell (RTS) status updates in Spark automatically once the carrier reports it; no action needed. Use this article to check where things stand, or to know when it's time to reach out, plus what to check for each carrier.
📣 IMPORTANT: Carrier integrations and reporting schedules can change. If anything below doesn't match what you're seeing, reach out to [email protected], and we'll help you sort it out.
Two separate questions
Whether a carrier has confirmed you as Ready to Sell, and where you go to enroll a client are independent of each other:
Has the carrier confirmed you as Ready to Sell? This is what actually determines whether you're allowed to sell.
Where do you go to enroll a client? This is about which platform you use: SunFire or the carrier's own site.
You can be fully Ready to Sell with a carrier that isn't supported on the SunFire platform yet. That's not a problem; it just means you enroll through that carrier's own site instead. Check both below.
Step 1: Check your status in Spark
Go to Back Office → View Carrier Contracts and look at the status column for that carrier.
Shows Ready to Sell already? No further action needed here; continue to "Where do you enroll?" below.
Shows pending, or doesn't match what the carrier told you? Continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Check whether this is a normal delay
Check the Carrier Update Schedule for the carrier.
If the carrier is on the list:
Find the carrier's row and check the RTS Next Anticipated Update date.
If today is before that date: no action needed, even if you already have direct confirmation from the carrier. It just hasn't reported to Spark yet; that's normal.
If today is after that date and your status still hasn't changed: this may be a mismatch. Reach out to [email protected] with proof of your status (see "What Spark needs to confirm your status" below), and we'll sort out which it is.
If the carrier isn't on the list at all:
We don't get an automatic feed for this carrier, so we'll confirm it directly, either from something we already have on file or by checking with the carrier. Reach out to [email protected] if you still need help.
💡 If you don't have login access to the carrier's portal (whether because it's controlled through your agency, or the carrier doesn't offer a self-serve portal at all), reach out to your upline or [email protected] for help confirming your status.
If the steps above don't match what you're seeing (for example, your carrier portal already shows you as Ready to Sell but Spark doesn't), the carrier's own portal is always the more current source.
What Spark needs to confirm your status
This only comes up when you're escalating a mismatch, or when a carrier has no automatic report at all. Most carriers never require you to send anything.
When it does apply, Spark needs proof of:
Your name and NPN
Home-state Ready to Sell status (and effective date, if shown)
Spark Advisors as your hierarchy/upline
Your writing number (if the carrier uses one)
The carriers below need something more specific than that, either because there's an extra document required, the proof has to come from a specific source, or there's no self-serve way to get proof at all.
💡 For a visual, screenshot-based walkthrough of a few individual carrier portals, see this Scribe guide.
Aetna (MA, DSNP, CSNP, ISNP, PDP)
Aetna (MA, DSNP, CSNP, ISNP, PDP)
The RTS confirmation email only covers your resident state. For additional states, a separate portal screenshot showing those appointments is needed. If your upline isn't clear on the confirmation, Aetna can confirm it directly.
Americo
Americo
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Anthem / Elevance (MA, PDP, MS, CSNP, DSNP, ISNP)
Anthem / Elevance (MA, PDP, MS, CSNP, DSNP, ISNP)
Needs both a portal screenshot showing RTS status and your certification PDF, not just one or the other.
Capitol Life
Capitol Life
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Careington Dental
Careington Dental
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
CareSource (DSNP: GA, OH, MI only)
CareSource (DSNP: GA, OH, MI only)
Reach out to [email protected] for help confirming your status; this one needs to be checked against a report rather than a standard email confirmation.
Community Health Choice
Community Health Choice
No reliable self-serve way to check yet. Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm with the carrier directly.
F&G
F&G
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Foresters Financial
Foresters Financial
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Freedom (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Freedom (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Also needs your upline shown as HPM and the correct certification year visible. Proof must come from the portal; an emailed confirmation showing "active under HPM" is not the same as RTS.
Gerber Life
Gerber Life
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
GTL
GTL
No self-serve portal. Status only updates when GTL sends their next scheduled report; no documentation to send in the meantime.
Humana (MA, DVH, PDP, MS, DSNP, CSNP)
Humana (MA, DVH, PDP, MS, DSNP, CSNP)
Proof must come from the Agent Portal specifically; a Vantage screenshot won't work. Vantage only shows license status, not RTS. "Activated" also isn't the same as Ready to Sell; don't submit on Activated alone. The portal only shows your resident state; additional states need a separate screenshot.
National Life
National Life
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Nationwide
Nationwide
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Oscar
Oscar
No self-serve portal or report. Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm with the carrier directly.
Physicians Mutual
Physicians Mutual
No self-serve portal. Status only updates when Physicians Mutual sends their next scheduled report; no documentation to send in the meantime.
SCAN
SCAN
Status isn't just Active; it also requires completed 2027 Training. Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm both with the carrier.
Solis (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Solis (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Status isn't a simple yes/no, and this one isn't a self-check; Solis sends status reports directly to Spark. Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm whether you're at Completed (Ready to Sell) or an earlier stage.
United American / Globe Life (MS, Life)
United American / Globe Life (MS, Life)
No portal or report exists; the confirmation email (sent automatically after onboarding) is the RTS proof.
Wellabe / Medico (MS, Hospital Indemnity, DVH)
Wellabe / Medico (MS, Hospital Indemnity, DVH)
No documentation needed from you at all; the carrier sends confirmation directly to Spark.
WPS
WPS
No portal or report. Contact the carrier or your upline directly for confirmation, then forward what you receive to us.
Where do you enroll?
SunFire is the platform Spark uses for quoting and enrolling. It doesn't decide whether you're allowed to sell; that's determined by the carrier. Some carriers are set up in SunFire; some aren't, and that's just a matter of which platforms that carrier integrates with.
For Med Supp and ancillary products not covered through SunFire, Spark also offers CSG Actuarial for quoting. See CSG Quoting & e-Applications for details.
Check the SunFire Supported Carriers list for your carrier. The list is broken down by product line (MA/MAPD, PDP, CSNP, DSNP, Med Supp, and Ancillary), not just by carrier, so check the specific product you're working with. A carrier can be fully supported for one product line and quote-only for another.
For your carrier's specific product line:
Full Enrollment Integration: quote and enroll the client directly in SunFire.
Quote Only: quote the plan in SunFire, then submit the enrollment through the carrier's own site.
Not listed for that product line: quote and enroll directly through the carrier's own site, then add the policy to that client's contact record in Spark so it's tracked with the rest of your book.
💡 Seeing a carrier as Ready to Sell in Spark but not seeing it anywhere in SunFire? That's not a mismatch. It usually just means that carrier isn't supported on the SunFire platform yet. Check the list above to confirm, then enroll through the carrier's own site instead.
A few ancillary carriers need extra help from Spark: most carriers are covered by the SunFire list above. These specific ones aren't set up with an automated feed or full SunFire integration, so confirming your status usually means reaching out rather than checking a self-service screen:
Atlantic Coast Life, Banker's Fidelity, Manhattan Life, National General / Allstate, Oceanview
Atlantic Coast Life, Banker's Fidelity, Manhattan Life, National General / Allstate, Oceanview
Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm your status with the carrier.
Solis (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Solis (MA, CSNP, DSNP: FL only)
Reach out to [email protected], and we'll confirm your status. Solis reports status directly to Spark rather than through a self-service portal.
United American / Globe Life (Med Supp, Life)
United American / Globe Life (Med Supp, Life)
Look for the carrier's confirmation email (sent automatically after your onboarding link, copied to Spark) with your WID. If you don't have this or it's been a while, reach out to [email protected].
Ready to Sell, in SunFire, but a specific plan is still missing?
Sometimes a carrier asks for a specific plan to be pulled from quoting tools like SunFire. This is called a plan suppression, and it isn't a sign anything's wrong with your account or your status.
To still compare a suppressed plan for a client, see Comparing Suppressed Plans in SunFire. Enrollment for a suppressed plan has to go through the carrier's own portal, not SunFire.
If you're not sure whether a plan is suppressed, reach out to [email protected] with the zip code and plan name, and we'll confirm.
Still not sure what applies to you?
